We miss you so very much. I hope you open another restaurant soon. Miss you, miss your wonderful food.
Came here again the other day & my review still pretty much stands. I could not give it a full 5 star and for a good reason. The Mantu (first time having it) was good! You gotta eat it all together, with the toppings for the best flavor! And Chaple Kebab on the other hand was just okay. I have had chaple/chapli kebab many times from other locations and this place didn't taste the best. It was a little sweet, which I'm not used to. But the beef also didn't feel like beef. The kebab actually felt and tasted like Vegan "beef"; in which I am familiar with because I am a former vegan. It just was not what I was expecting nor what I'm used to; and I was expecting better, due to the many good reviews and my previous good experiences. The rice was good, nothing to craze over but good, and I also got the garlic yogurt on the side which made my kebab more palatable. I could give it a 3 star, BUT it was good enough, and based on my previous experiences, I decided to keep it at a 4. On top of that, I ordered through DoorDash for pick up, and they were insanely quick, despite having many more other pick up orders that I had seen them preparing and that were ready on the counter. I also know that this place is closing down soon, but since they are a family owned- long time business, I hope to see them soon in a different nearby location, so I can give them another try!
Enjoyed dinner filled with flavor and service with a smile. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. Especially enjoyed the house made naan, so soft and fresh.
It's saddens my soul, my heart, and most importantly my belly to hear that this restaurant is closing up shop. What are y'all doing Brentwood?! How can you allow a place that is family owned close its doors ?! Y'all should be ashamed to allow this to happen! Instead of getting delicious food y'all settle for In&Out or Nick the Greek. Do y'all even know what good food taste like? Probably not that's why you lame ass dummies are allowing a restaurant who values serving the community with their best quality meats and veggies close shop. I can't believe this.
Have not disappointed us yet! Staff are friendly and the food is worth the wait! Always smiles on their faces and so happy to have you at their establishment.
The falafel wrap and lentil soup were outstanding! Wonderful service, clean restrooms. If we lived closer, we would return regularly. Thank you!
This is a must try if you enjoy very good Mediterranean food. Restaurant was clean and the service was fast. Not the most talkative and friendly place when trying to have a conversation with staff. But never the less the food was great. I will be back again.
Chaman Kabob is where I had my first Chaple Kabob. Ever since I tried this one, I've been hooked. We've also really enjoyed their Chicken wrap. It has generous portions of everything, especially chicken, and the sauces they put in it give it a flavor I promise you'll crave later. (The first time I had this wrap, I actually went back and bought a second one) Anyhow, the restaurant itself is small, but quiet and comfortable. We've eaten inside a couple of times, but usually we get our dinner to go. So far, it's been the best Afghan food we've found in the Antioch/Brentwood area. Give 'em a try! Thanks for reading this review!
